Veneers and Lumineers

Veneers and Lumineers

Porcelain veneers are thin pieces of porcelain used to recreate the natural look of teeth, while also providing strength and resilience comparable to natural tooth enamel.
It is often the choice for those looking to make slight position alterations or to change tooth shape, size and/or color.
To apply a veneer, a very small amount of the tooth is removed, normally less than a millimeter. The reason of this is to create room for the porcelain veneer. A special bond is used to attach permanently the veneer on the tooth.

Lumineers are no-prep or minimal prep veneers. They don’t require the dentist to remove tooth structure and the placement is quickly and with less discomfort. They are an alternative to traditional dental veneers but this treatment option is not appropriate for everyone. The dentist will decide if the patient is a good candidate for Lumineers.
